Hey! So Glad You're Here.

We are a group of Dalhousie University students studying International Development Studies.

We are passionate about development work and have seen the detrimental effects of inequitable vaccine distribution. We want to see this changed.

We do not claim to be experts in vaccine equity or global health. We have compiled research as concerned citizens and want our government representatives to know we care about this issue.

We are calling on the Canadian government to take four actions:

Provide all the promised doses to COVAX.
Vote in favour of the COVID-19 Vaccine TRIPS Waiver that would allow vaccines to be produced closer to where they are needed and decrease dependence on donations.
Increase the Canadian Official Development Assistance by $1.5 billion in the 2022 budget to support strengthening of health care infrastructure in the world's poorest countries to build their capacity to respond to COVID-19. Canada's global COVID-19 response must not come at the expense of other commitments to international development.
Cease to enact travel bans related to COIVD-19.
